1990 (1-9) — Drake’s Final Year

Coach: Jerry Drake

A painful season with just one win — a 27-14 victory over Clarksburg Notre Dame on September 14. The Tigers were shut out five times and outscored 246-74 on the year.

1991 (2-8) — Leach Takes Over

Coach: Rick Leach

New coach Rick Leach brought modest improvement. The Tigers opened with a dominant 35-8 win over Hundred and added a second win with a 28-20 decision over Buffalo (Putnam), but still faced stiff competition from conference rivals.

Coach: Rick Leach

Leach’s second season mirrored the first at 2-8, but featured the program’s best defensive showing (outscored 196-143) and highest single-game offensive output — a 40-12 road win at Paden City to close the year. A heartbreaking one-point loss at Buffalo (17-18) was the closest game of the era.
